My morning walk

Every day I used to walk from my home to Kundannur Junction through the side road of NH 47 and back which comes around 5 kilometers. Morning walks helps my body to control the cholostrol level, blood pressure, sugar etc. and also I am getting self confidence. It is a regular scene near the Mercedez Benz car showroom that drinking water is wasting from a pipe erected by the Kerala Water Authority in both ends of a canal. Following are the pathetic condition of the pipes and wastage of water.

In the following picture, some body tried to prevent the flow of drinking water by using the plastic coated paper, by in vain.

 Now thousands of people in Vypin and surrounding areas are facing acute shortage of drinking water. They will have to spent hours near the public tap for getting water. Water may come only during the mid night. Some times the long queue of people with buckets ends with quarrel among themselves. Agitations were conducted by them by participating thousands of ladies and children. Political parties have not seen taken this as a major issue as they wants people at the time of elections for getting their votes. The people in these areas still facing shortage of drinking water.

Being the situation, hundreds of litres of water is wasting from the pipes every day for the last one year. No body has taken care for rectifying the leakage. In my opinion, the authorities should take necessary urgent steps to stop the wastage of drinking water.

On sunday morning when I reached Kundannur Junction, Fire Force peoples struggling to clear the oil & diesel from the road which spread in connection with the accident. Following are some pictures.

 The following picture shows the dry banana kept near the road side which unloaded from the truck involved in the accident.

Now a days, accidents are regular in our roads. Every year the percentage of accidents are increasing. The main reason for the accident is the lapse on the part of the drivers. During the night time drivers some times fell asleep while driving. If the oil & diesel content in the road may not be completely removed, two wheeler riders  may be in trouble even the next one year of the accident.
